The Story of Calvary Chapel Boulder City
It began with prayer...
Our story began as a prayer project on the hearts of a handful of faithful Christians as they prayed and asked the Lord for a Calvary Chapel here in Boulder City. That prayer was answered in 2004, when Calvary Chapel Boulder City (CCBC) was launched as a church plant out of Calvary Chapel Spring Valley and began meeting as a home fellowship group. Over the next couple of years the meeting places changed from a coffee shop to a home to the Women’s Club building until being blessed to move into our current location on Nevada Way in 2006.
On July 1st, 2010, Jason King transitioned over from Calvary Chapel Green Valley’s pastoral staff to begin serving as the full-time senior pastor of CCBC. As a Boulder City native, Pastor Jason still has to pinch himself sometimes that God has called him to return home with his family and serve as a pastor and leader in this great community.
Over the last few years, we’ve been blessed to expand our Fellowship Hall meeting area to provide more space and usability for church family meals and events, our Proclaim Youth Group, our Scripture Quilt Ministry and as an overflow Sanctuary room. We’ve also been excited to move from one service time to two on Sunday mornings and offer live-streamed and archived services on our YouTube page that reaches people worldwide. Over the years, we’ve also had the privilege of serving and supporting our community through various outreach projects in our local schools, senior living facilities and other areas of need.
We are filled with hope for how the Lord will continue to work through our CCBC church family to impact people in our community and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ – until His glorious return. Maranatha!
